Getting Ready For The Night Out

You’ve worked hard all week and now Friday is here, the start of the weekend. You’ve got some fun plans ahead of you—even if they just consist of laying around the house, it’s some much-needed down time after slogging through the work week. Maybe you’re heading out for the night with some friends or meeting that guy you talked to on Cheyenne chat line. If that’s the case, you’ve got to get ready because it’s your time to shine! What you actually do to get ready probably depends a lot on whether you’re a man or a woman. It’s a far more complicated process if you’re a woman, so we’ve got some great tips that’ll make the getting ready process a whole lot easier—and quicker to complete.

All Roads Start with Makeup

All fun evenings start with wine, so pour yourself a glass that you can enjoy as you turn your attention to your face. Then go ahead and wash the day’s grime (and your daytime makeup palette) away so you’ve got a blank canvas to work with. After that, it’s time to put on the glitz. Put on a light layer of foundation, do up your eyes—a smoky eye screams ‘night out,’ apply some blush so your cheekbones stand out, and don’t forget to add a lip stain that’ll make your pucker pop!

Top Off Your Look

Turn your attention to your hair next. Whether you’re going straight or curly is up to you and the look you’re going for. Chunky waves or curls are always a good nighttime choice but so is a sleek ‘do. Don’t forget to finish your hairstyle off with a couple shots of flexible hold hair spray to keep your coiffure in place but still able to move when you’re on the dancefloor.

What to Wear?

Choosing your outfit may be the trickiest part of the evening. Again, what look are you going for? And what are you hoping to get from the evening—are you just burning off some steam with your girls or are you hoping to go home with a lucky someone? If it’s the former, a cute stylish romper or dress is always a good choice. And if’s the latter, well, be sure you show some skin—but not too much!

Heels or Flats, That is the Question

If you’ve got a long night ahead of you, flats might be your answer. Granted, they’re not as chic or sassy as a strappy heel, but they’re comfortable and that may be what you care most about after a long week at work. If you feel like you’ve got the stamina and wherewithal to handle a few more hours on your feet, then heels it is!

Pack Your Essentials

Don’t forget to bring a little purse to carry your necessities. Keys? If you need to get back in your house. Identification? You’ll need that if you’re going to get into the club. Cash, credit card, or both? That Uber ride home isn’t going to pay for itself. Lipstick? A touch up may be necessary at some point during the evening. Be sure to include anything else you think you’ll need. After all, it pays to be prepared!
